Harvey Bulls will take on the might of Busselton this Saturday evening at the Harvey Oval, in a round six clash of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership, with plenty at stake.
Busselton are coming off a tremendous win against Bunbury, surrendering a big lead, only to find a way to win in the second half of the final quarter in arguably the match of the season to date. The Bulls are coming off a bye, and will be fresh for the match, but will need to be at their very best to get over Busselton, who don’t appear to have a weak link in the chain.
Both teams are coming off very different opponents with the Bulls defeating Harvey Brunswick Leschenault by 19 points, Collie Eagles by 51 points and Eaton Boomers by 57 points, with all three teams at the bottom end of the table. Their only loss was in the wet at Gloucester Park when the Hawks won by eight points in round three.
Busselton meanwhile are undefeated, having accounted for Augusta Margaret River, Eaton, Dunsborough, Donnybrook and Bunbury. Busselton have kicked some big scores also in 2023 and have multiple avenues to goal with Liam Creighton 17 goals, Beau Chinnery 11, Jaxon East 10 and Mitch Howlett 8.
The Bulls will also be without Sam Lewis who has been a great acquisition for the Harvey side this season, with Lewis suffering a hamstring injury. The Bulls have won the last two encounters over the Magpies, in round 22 and the Elimination Final both at Bovell Park, so it is not without possibility that the Bulls will triumph at Harvey Oval.
