Hawks Down Decimated Dons

Reigning Premiers Augusta Margaret River recorded their third win in the 2022 Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Season, when they accounted for Donnybrook on Saturday afternoon at VC Mitchell Park.

The Donnybrook Football Club have been decimated by Covid-19 cases and injury, but despite this, the Dons still presented three teams across the day, but were under pressure from the commencement of the match,   At three quarter time, the margin had ballooned out to 77 points, but to their credit the Dons outscored the Hawks in the final term to go down by 64 points.

Matthew Bannister played a great game for the Hawks, kicking six goals in the process, as did Samuel Lewis, while Ben Howlett, Jake Kendle and Luke Dale tried all day for the Dons.

The result sees the Hawks move to second on the ladder, while the Dons drop so sixth.
