Hawks To Host Lions In Round Seven

Augusta Margaret River will host Harvey Brunswick Leschenault in round seven of the SWFL, Community Umpiring Round, at Gloucester Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks who currently sit fourth on the ladder, are one of four teams on four wins, along with Donnybrook, South Bunbury and Carey Park.  Meanwhile the Lions find themselves second last after losing a thriller to Eaton last Saturday, and are still searching for their first win of the season.

Augusta Margaret River ventured to Collie last Sunday and despite winning, they only won by 33 points, with some wayward kicking keeping the Collie Eagles in the match, something the Hawks will be looking to eradicate this Saturday.

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault have been highly competitive and are way better than their tenth placed position suggests, with small losses to Harvey Bulls (19 points), Carey Park (2 points), Bunbury (15 points), and Eaton (2 points).   Jarrod Humphries has kicked 46.8% of the Lions goals this season, and will need plenty of assistance to kick a winning score against the Hawks who have plenty of players kicking goals, including Jack Hick who has kicked ten goals in the last three weeks.

Simon Moore continues to play outstanding football and will need to be watched very carefully, and if the Lions do get it into the forward line they need to shut down the ever reliable Lincoln Adams, who is one of the best defenders in the competition.
