Historic Twilight Grand Final A Key To 2025 Fixture

The SWFL have released the 2025 Dale Alcock Homes South West Fixtures, which will see several notable changes, with the biggest change being that all four Grand Finals will be played on the same day, with the League Grand Final to be played at the twilight time slot of 4.30pm.

The matches will be played on Saturday, 20 September 2025, a week before the AFL Grand Final.

With the Women’s Grand Final scheduled to be played with the three men’s Grand Finals, the Women’s Gather Round will no longer be played, leaving the Nutrien Ag Country Championship weekend as a General Bye for all teams.

The season will commence on Saturday, 29 March 2025, with three rounds of fixtures prior to Easter, with three derbies a feature of round one, with Harvey Brunswick Leschenault hosting Harvey Bulls under the new lights at Brunswick Oval, Busselton will host Dunsborough and South Bunbury will play Carey Park.   Donnybrook will play Eaton under new lights at a revamped VC Mitchell Park, while Collie Eagles will host Augusta Margaret River.

Last years Grand Finalists, South Bunbury and Bunbury won’t play each other until round nine, on the WA Day Long Weekend.  Scheduled to be played at Hands Oval in 2025, the match will actually be played at Payne Park, with Hands Oval unavailable due to the AFL Match to be held the week later.

Sixteen of the twenty rounds will have at least one match played in Bunbury (eighteen if you include Eaton), while all traditional Cup Matches have been retained, with Augusta Margaret River and Busselton playing in round two and thirteen, while Carey Park will host Bunbury in a Bunbury derby, the day before the AFL match, which is likely to attract a big crowd.

South Bunbury, Carey Park, Harvey Bulls, Donnybrook and Eaton will be the host venues for the Indigenous Round, with the Panthers to play the Eagles in the traditional match at Kelly Park in round fourteen.

The Hayward & Nola Marino Medal will be held on Friday, 12 September 2025.

Fixtures are now online via PlayHQ and the website, although times of some matches will change to accommodate Ladies Days, Fundraisers and Special Matches.
