Harvey Brunswick Leschenault have defeated Eaton on Sunday afternoon at Glen Huon Reserve, in the final game of round three of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.
In front of the biggest crowd at Glen Huon Reserve since 2019, five of the first six scores were behinds, setting the trend for the match.
In between the behinds Jarrod Humphries kicked the opening goal, while John Manuel kicked a good goal with eight minutes remaining to give the Lions a fifteen point lead at quarter time.

Karl Collard finally gave the home side fans something to cheer about when he kicked the opening goal of the second term, but that was immediately answered by Jai Rout and then Humphries again, as the Lions lead grew to 23 points. Collard converted to arrest the deficit, but less than a minute later Emmett Templeton kicked truly to extend the margin again. Taj Marshall would kick a crucial goal just before half time to give the Boomers some much needed momentum going into half time.
The Lions dominated general play in the third term, but couldn’t buy a goal, kicking five behinds for the quarter, while late in the term Joshua and Jono Kelly kicked accurately and the Boomers got within eleven points at three quarter time.
The final term belonged to the Lions, though the inaccuracy continued, with the final margin 31 points. Jack Fletcher continued his strong early form as did Jesse Crichton, while Jason Carter and Ben McGuire played well for Eaton.
The Lions will host Bunbury in round four at Brunswick Oval, while Eaton will head to Dunsborough to play the Sharks next Sunday.
