Inaccurate Lions Get The Job Done

It wasn’t pretty, but Harvey Brunswick Leschenault got the four points when they defeated Eaton on Saturday afternoon at Glen Huon Reserve, in round eight of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership season.

The home side started brilliantly, kicking the opening two goals of the match, and the Lions were kept goal-less in the opening term for the first time this season.

After quarter time though, the Lions kicked into gear kicking six second quarter goals to take a 28 point lead into half time.   The Lions dominated the third term also but were very inaccurate in front of goals, kicking 2.7.19 for the term.   Ty Anderson, Thomas Heenan and Connor Carbone got plenty of possessions through the middle stages of the match, as the Lions dominated.  Greg Humphries was again a standout for Eaton, while Jack Saunders and Jackson Hill also played well.

The Lions remain in second place on the ladder, notching up their sixth win of the season, setting up a top of the table clash with South Bunbury next Sunday.
