The Nexus South West League side kept their Grand Final ambitions alive when they defeated Goldfields at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday afternoon.
The South West went into the contest with one win and a loss, and needed to defeat Goldfields to remain in contention, with the team keeping the Goldfields in the contest with some atrocious goal accuracy.
At on stage the South West were 1.9.15, with only two late goals sealing the victory.
Cooper Clarke-Dehring kicked a clutch goal to give the South West breathing space late in the contest, which put the South West on top of the ladder with one game remaining.
