Bunbury will host Eaton Boomers in the final game in round nineteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership Season at PC Payne Park.
After last weeks shock yet thrilling draw with the Collie Eagles, Eaton Boomers simply must win to keep their season alive, currently sitting six points behind Donnybrook and Harvey Bulls. For the Boomers still to play finals they must win three of their final four games, with matches against Carey Park, Busselton and Harvey Brunswick Leschenault and hope that Donnybrook and Harvey Bulls win no more than one further match, with both still have a further bye.
Meanwhile, Bunbury, who are coming off the bye, will be looking to consolidate third place after Busselton’s shock loss to Donnybrook. Bunbury also have matches to come against Donnybrook, South Bunbury and Augusta Margaret River, making Sunday’s match crucial for the Bulldogs if they wish to claim third place at the end of the home and away season.
The Bulldogs haven’t been a heavy scoring team in 2022, which will please the Boomers, with Cameron Hay the highest goal scorer for the Bulldogs with just 21 goals for the season.
The game may well be won in the midfield, where both teams do have match winners including Greg Humphries who single handedly got the Boomers back in the match last Sunday, while Jacob Dragovich has also been getting plenty of the football for the Boomers. Dylan Heasman has been the standout for the Bulldogs making for a great contest in the middle.
