Lions Defeat Tigers At A Very Wet Brunswick Oval

It rained all day, and most of it quite heavily when Harvey Brunswick Leschenault hosted South Bunbury at Brunswick Oval in round seven of the South West Football League.

Despite the final scoreline, the match was played in tight confines for the majority of the day, with the flood lights on from the commencement of the match.

Shaun Crane kicked the opening goal of the match, and there would be no indications that it would be the only goal for the Tigers.  Scoring was difficult for both teams in the conditions, with not one goal kicked in the match at the Southern End.

The Lions kicked three goals in the second and fourth quarters to win by 25 points, with Jarrod Humphries the standout in front of goals, kicking four majors.

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault solidify second place on the ladder after six matches, while the Tigers remain fourth on the ladder, despite Busselton winning in the other Saturday fixture.   The Tigers will play Eaton Boomers next Saturday, while the Lions will play Bunbury in a top of the table clash next Sunday.
