Lions Looking To Consolidate Second Spot

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault will be looking to consolidate second place on the ladder, when they play Eaton at Glen Huon Reserve on Saturday afternoon, in round eight of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL premiership season.

They will come up against an Eaton team who should plenty of determination against Carey Park last Saturday, and they Boomers will hoping to replicate that against the Lions, who have just the one loss for the season, after losing to Carey Park.

The Lions will be fresh from the bye, and will be looking to take the four points against Eaton to hold second place, because regardless of the result between Donnybrook and Bunbury, one of them would leap above the Lions, should they falter.

Meanwhile the Boomers were highly competitive against the Panthers, after suffering a 27 goal loss the week prior, led by Greg Humphries who was outstanding against Carey Park and Paul Rinder, who is clearly the dominant ruckman in the SWFL.  They will need plenty of assistance from the midfield to shut down the midfield dominance that the Lions have displayed in the first seven weeks of the season, invariably landing in the arms of Blake Offer or Jarrod Humphries..

Game time is 2.40pm
