Lions Looking To Win For Jarrod

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault will be looking to win at home and to win for Jarrod Humphries, when they play the Collie Eagles on Saturday afternoon at the Brunswick Showgrounds.

Club Captains Jon Fenwick and Talan Michael will be key to both of their clubs on Saturday

Humphries will play his 50th game for the club, and was unstoppable last Saturday evening, when he kicked nine goals in the Lions demolition of the Bulls.  Humphries has kicked 275 goals in his League career across three clubs, with his best season in 2019 when he kicked 82 goals for the Boomers.

Collie meanwhile are coming off a narrow loss to the Boomers.  The Eagles trailed all day but got within a point late in the match before ultimately going down by nine points.   There were plenty of positive signs from Collie, with several of their younger players having good games, while Talan Michael was again a rock of consistency in the back line.

The Lions were irresistible against the Bulls and Collie will need to be able to stop the ball movement to not only Humphries but to Blake Offer who kicked five goals.

A win for the Lions will see them remain undefeated with a match against Dunsborough in round three, before playing Busselton, Bunbury and Carey Park in a tough block of matches.  Collie will be looking to take the win to move up the ladder, with a tough stretch to follow against Carey Park, South Bunbury and Donnybrook in the next three weeks, making this a vital match for both teams.
