Lions Remain On Top

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault remain on top of the Dale Alcock Homes South West premiership ladder, after a 30 point win over Dunsborough at the Dunsborough Playing Fields on Sunday.

After two comprehensive victories to start the season, the Lions didn’t have it all their own way, as the home side started well, kicking the first three goals and four of the first five, taking a seven point lead into the first break.

The Sharks would remain in front for the majority of the five quarter, as Matthew Burgess was doing the most damage, kicking five goals.  It was on the sound of half time that the Lions hit the front, ultimately leading by eight points at half time.

The Lions midfield started to dominate, with Jarrod Humphries and Blake Offer again combining to kick eight goals, as the visitors kicked four goals to one in the third quarter to lead by 27 point at the final change.

A goal apiece in the final time saw the final margin 30 points.  The Lions remain on top of the ladder, while the Sharks are one of seven teams who have won one game.
