Lions To Face Magpies Saturday Afternoon

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault will play Busselton on Saturday afternoon at the Brunswick Showgrounds, in round four of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, premiership season.

It maybe round four but this match is a crucial clash for both teams, based on the results of the first three weeks.

The Lions sit on top of the ladder with wins against Harvey Bulls, Collie Eagles and Dunsborough and for the first time this season, come up against a team from last years top five.   Busselton meanwhile are coming off the bye after a disastrous round two clash against Bunbury where they lost by 99 points, and have one win to their name.

The Magpies who were missing some key players in that round two match up will be stronger for this contest against the Lions who have been playing an exciting brand of football.  Coach Derek Hall admitted on SEN Radio that he wouldn’t be worrying about Busselton’s game plan, but more on the things that the Lions do well.  Hall did highlight the Magpies Liam Creighton and Mitch Tenardi who have been excellent players for Busselton for a long time.   Meanwhile, Busselton will have to cope with Jarrod Humphries and Blake Offer who have in three weeks kicked 32 goals and have literally been unstoppable.

A Lions victory will cement them in the upper part of the table and leave Busselton languishing with a swag of teams with one or two wins for the season, while a Magpie victory will put them in the upper half of a congested ladder.
