Lions To Host Sharks In Round Six

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault will host Dunsborough in the opening game of round six of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season, under lights at Brunswick Oval on Saturday evening.

The Lions who after round three found themselves in tenth place have had victories over Collie Eagles and Augusta Margaret River to move to fifth moving into this crucial clash against Dunsborough.   The Sharks are eighth with two wins, also coming off a round five victory over Collie.

Both sides have poor percentages having both suffered a big loss earlier in the season, and will both be looking to take the points to keep in touch with the top five.

The Lions had a hard fought win over Augusta Margaret River last Saturday evening, but have players in great form including Jesse Crichton, Ty Anderson, Ned Gualter and Jarrod Humphries who has kicked eight goals so far this season.   The Sharks also have some players in good form, with Bill Jones being a standout up forward, having kicked seven goals against Collie last Sunday and fifteen for the season, while Simon Moore again was one of the best players on the ground last Sunday, and Caydhen Black continues to amass plenty of possessions.

A Lions home victory will keep them in the top five, while a loss will see them midpack, with several other sides on three wins at the end of the round.  Likewise, the Sharks would join HBL and others on three wins should they get a victory, or join potentially be one of four teams on two wins after Saturday nights match.  The Sharks have never beaten the Lions since joining the competition.

The League fixture commences at 4.40pm.
