Lions Win Sam Strano Cup

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault proved way too strong for the Harvey Bulls on Sunday afternoon, in round eleven of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.

The contest was over midway through the second term, with the Bulls going through the match without scoring a goal, to record their lowest ever score against their near neighbours, and failed to score in the second half, with the Lions dominant from start to finish.

Harvey Brunswick Leschanult remain sixth on the ladder, but have closed the percentage gap on Donnybrook who also won today, both teams having five wins.

The win by the Lions was the biggest over the Bulls and also had some key players play great games, including Ty Anderson and Jesse Crichton.  Anderson gathered a multitude of possessions, while Crichton kicked five goals.  Jack Fletcher also played well and even snared a rare goal, just the thirteenth of his HBL career.

The Lions will travel to Collie in round twelve to play the Eagles, while Harvey Bulls will face Busselton at Harvey Oval, with both matches scheduled for Sunday.
