Magpies Beat Lions, Wind, Rain And Hail

It was the third weekend of Spring at Brunswick Oval on Saturday afternoon, but you could be excused for thinking it was the middle of June, with strong winds, heavy rain and several bouts of hail throughout the League Qualifying Final between Harvey Brunswick Leschenault and Busselton.

Busselton controlled the match throughout, keeping the home team goal-less until the third quarter, and with the conditions less than ideal for high scoring, it would be a bridge too far, with the Magpies advancing to the Second Semi Final to take on Bunbury next Sunday.

Mitch Howlett continued his good form kicking three  goals and long with Brent Snook were the only multiple goal kickers on the day, while Mathew Harbeck and Ethan Maguire were dominant for the Magpies.
