Magpies Gearing Up For Finals

Busselton have known for two weeks that they will host a Second Semi Final and will use Saturday afternoon’s match against Harvey Brunswick Leschenault to fine tune their game, as round twenty one of the SWFL commences.

The Lions are coming off three victories, but will come up against Busselton who are fresh from the bye, when the two teams meet at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.  The Lions have defeated Eaton by 22 points, Dunsborough by 1 point and Collie Eagles by 25 points in the last three weeks, but will find the Magpies a much tougher proposition.

In the corresponding fixture, the Lions only lost to Busselton by nine points, but since then Busselton have dominated the competition, and although not looking to take the Lions lightly, will be looking to execute their game plan, in the lead up to a clash against either Carey Park, Donnybrook or South Bunbury in the second week of the finals.

Busselton have one further fixture to come against Collie Eagles, also at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, so potentially the Magpies will play all games at home until the Grand Final, should they win the Second Semi Final.
