Magpies Get Revenge At Gloucester Park

It might not take away the pain for losing last years Grand Final, but the Grand Final rematch to start the 2022 Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL season, went the way of the Busselton Magpies with a 21 point win.

Last years dour Grand Final which had just 13 goals kicked, Saturday’s match had just 11 goals for the match, which was played in steady rain.

Busselton led at every break and had the Premiers stuck on one goal until the final term, and requiring six goals in the final term in the conditions was never really a possibility.  The Hawks did fight the game out kicking three final term goals but the Magpies were too good, with Mitch Howlett kicking three goals for the visitors, while Jake Dugan and Jackson Arbon were the best players on the ground for Busselton.
