Magpies Looking To Remain Undefeated

Busselton will be looking to stretch their winning streak, when they play Harvey Bulls on Saturday afternoon at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, in round eighteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, Premiership Season.

Busselton have taken all before them in season 2023, and although in recent weeks where they have been challenged for a half or even three quarters, the Magpies on each occasion have found a way for restrict the opposition in the final quarter or half to continue their winning ways.

The Bulls, who last season beat Busselton twice in two weeks at Bovell Park, needed to win last Sunday to keep their chances of playing finals alive, and although it is mathematically still possible to make finals, they would need Bunbury to lose every game from here on to make it.

Mitch Tenardi is having an outstanding season for the Magpies, and was amongst the best last Saturday when Busselton downed South Bunbury, while Jackson Arbon, Ethan Bowman, Damian Lee and Dylan Patterson are also consistently playing well, and will be a handful for the Bulls.

Lloyd Beever and Sam Lewis played well last week for the Bulls and will be a good match up through the centre of the ground, and along with Brad Holmes, Harley Bennell and Matthew Bennell, their attack could pose some problems for the Busselton backline.

The Bulls will need to find a way though of combatting the Busselton game plan, where they wear the opposition into the ground, with consistent run and ball movement, which in-turn makes it very difficult for the opposition to score.

Busselton are looking to become just the sixth team in the last 43 years to go through the season undefeated (HBL 2019, Carey Park 2009, South Bunbury 1988, 1985, 1980).
