Panthers Head To Gloucester Park To Take On Hawks

Augusta Margaret River will play Carey Park on Sunday afternoon at Gloucester Park in round fifteen of the SWFL, with both teams desperate to take the four points.

The Hawks who have been hit hardest of any team with injuries and unavailability, will be hoping to defy the odds and defeat Carey Park to keep their very slim finals chances alive, while Carey Park will be looking to maintain the buffer they have over Bunbury who sit in fifth place, and potentially draw level with either Donnybrook or South Bunbury who play Busselton and Dunsborough respectively.

The Hawks were demoralised in round fourteen by the Harvey Bulls, who kicked the opening ten goals of the match, with the defending champions only having a skeleton of their premiership team available.  Carey Park conversely, started slowly against Collie before kicking twelve of the last thirteen goals of the match to record a big victory.

Both teams will be fully rested after the Nutrien Ag break, however the sheer number of players out for the Hawks will make it incredibly hard for them to defeat a Carey Park team, that continues to impress and hasn’t been beaten since round nine in a shock loss to the Eaton Boomers after the final siren.
