Panthers Need To Win At Home

Carey Park caused one of the biggest upsets of the season in round twelve and they will need to produce another one on Sunday, when they play host to Augusta Margaret River at Kelly Park.

Jaxon Bell to play 50th League Game on Sunday.

The Panthers clearly can take it up to the top teams accounting for Bunbury last Sunday by 41 points, while the Hawks fell to hands of Busselton on Saturday evening.

Nicholas Bonomelli and Kelvin Lawrence were dominant in the Panthers win and they will be key again on Sunday to the Panthers hopes.  The Hawks were well down on form last Saturday night, but it is hard to see the defending Premiers having two poor games in a row, so Carey Park will need to be able to shut down the Hawks midfield to enable their forwards to put scoreboard pressure on the visitors.  Mitch and Steven Payne have been consistently amongst the best players for the Hawks and will no doubt provide plenty of headaches for the Panthers.

Jaxon Bell will play his 50th game on Sunday for the Panthers, and the home team would dearly love to win for him and stay in touch with the five.  A loss will see them slip back to ninth potentially.  For the Hawks a win could see them on top of the ladder at the end of the round dependent on the South Bunbury, Busselton result, while a loss could also see them fourth depending on whether Busselton win on Saturday, making this another very important fixture.
