Panthers Through To Colts Grand Final

It was 2010 when the Carey Park Colts last played in a Grand Final, and they are the first team through to the Colts decider after defeating minor premiers, Busselton, by 14 points at Brunswick Oval on Sunday morning.

After an even opening quarter, the Panthers took control of the contest in the second quarter, kicking four goals to nil to lead by 33 points at the major interval.

Busselton kept the Panthers scoreless in the third quarter but managed just one goal themselves to trail by 22 points at the last change, but despite a late rally the Panthers prevailed to advance to the Grand Final in two weeks time.

Chayse Martinson was not only best on ground, but kicked three majors for the ‘Park’, while

Busselton will now face Augusta Margaret River in a Preliminary Final at Hands Oval next Sunday.
