Reserves Competition Not Yet Set

The SWFL Reserves competition appears on paper to have five relatively easy victories in round fifteen based on ladder position, however after last weekends results nothing can be taken for granted.

South Bunbury won with the final kick of the day, and Bunbury were convincingly beaten by Harvey Bulls, keeping the fight for the final five, and positions within the five, well and truly alive.

Saturday, third placed Busselton head to Margaret River to take on the Hawks, ladder positions mean nothing in a Southern Derby, and on a heavy oval from two weeks on constant rain, the run of the Magpies maybe negated.

Meanwhile the other Saturday fixture will see Harvey Bulls take on the winless Donnybrook.  The Bulls have a poor percentage and need to keep on winning, as fifth placed Eaton, face top team Harvey Brunswick Leschenault.  If the Lions win, the Boomers and Bulls will find themselves equal on points, and the two teams face off in the final game of the season in round 18.

On Sunday, Collie Eagles host South Bunbury.  Despite being in ninth, the Eagles have a great percentage, and are more than capable of winning on Sunday, which could see them jump both the Hawks and Carey Park who play second placed Bunbury.

So despite current ladder positions, and with the games to come, the Ressies competition is still very much alive.
