Harvey Brunswick Leschenault have won in a thrilling finish at the Dunsborough Playing Fields, when they held off a fast finishing Dunsborough, in round seventeen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.
Conditions were bitterly cold at the Playing Fields, with the feels like temperature registering minus two at one point, with the venue also receiving hail.

The Sharks played a brilliant opening quarter kicking the opening three goals, while the Lions were inaccurate, kicking five behinds. The Lions had their turn with the wind in the second quarter, but it would be eight minutes before they would covert their first goal. Once the first goal was kicked, the Lions in the blink of an eye kicked four, to lead by twelve points. The Sharks would fight back kicking the last two goals of the quarter to level the scores at half time.
The Lions made their move in the third term, dominating the contest, kicking five goals, but again the Sharks pegged them back late, with the margin 21 points at three quarter time.
The final quarter would be an arm wrestle for the opening fifteen minutes, with the Lions managing three behinds in that time. The Sharks would then kick three goals in eight minutes to all of a sudden find themselves just five points down with two minutes to play. The Lions held on for a five point win after the two sides drew earlier in the year.
The Lions needed the win due to the other results over the course of round seventeen, and now set up a critical match against Donnybrook at Brunswick Oval next Saturday.
