Sharks To Host Dons Saturday

Dunsborough will host Donnybrook on Saturday at the Dunsborough Playing Fields, in round sixteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.

This is a match Donnybrook can not afford to drop, holding fifth place on percentage only over Carey Park, with Augusta Margaret River just one game behind, with those two teams to play on Sunday.    The Dons will be hoping not only to defeat Dunsborough, but also that the Hawks down the Panthers to give them a one game gap on the ladder with five rounds remaining.

But first, Donnybrook will have to get over the Sharks who have been playing well in recent weeks, with Dunsborough defeating Donnybrook last season at Shark Park.

The Sharks defeated Eaton by ten goals prior to the Country Championships and looked impressive in heavy conditions, while Donnybrook defeated Harvey Bulls by 82 points, also in wet conditions at Harvey Oval.    Both midfields have been solid this season, with Caleb Stephens and Simon Moore the back-bone of the Sharks drive forward.   Mitch Kings and Beau Luzi have also been in form for the Dons, and with matches against South Bunbury, Busselton and Harvey Brunswick Leschenault still to come, Saturday’s encounter with Dunsborough is one they simply can’t afford to lose.

The League match will commence at 2.45pm.

A coup for the Women’s side, Kara and Ebony Antonio, former Fremantle Dockers players, will player for the Sharks Women’s side, and will also host Coaching Clinics while in Dunsborough.
