Sharks To Play First Away Match Against Magpies

Busselton will be the first team to host Dunsborough in a League match, when they play on Sunday afternoon, in the final game of round three of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership Season.

The two teams are coming off contrasting results, with Busselton thrashing Eaton by 145 points, while the Sharks in their maiden match lost to Donnybrook by 100 points, but the new team showed plenty of good signs despite the result, which didn’t reflect the match.

Busselton have now defeated Augusta Margaret River and Eaton, with the Magpies sitting in second place on the ladder, with a win seeing them go to the top of the ladder at the end of round three, as ladder leaders, Donnybrook, have the bye.

Liam Creighton had a day and night out against Eaton, kicking a career high seven goals for the Magpies, and is one player Dunsborough will need to keep quite on Sunday afternoon, along with Mitch Tenardi and Jon Meadmore who have started the 2023 season in fine style.

Dunsborough will be looking to experienced players, Max Paterson, Nic Reid and Pat McGinninty to have strong games again, as the fledgling team gels together against another tough opponent.
