South West Steal The Win To Start Championship

The Nexus SWFL League side has stolen victory from the jaws of defeat with a last minute goal from Zac Trigwell, to give the South West the first win of Division One in the Nutrien Ag Country Championships at Fremantle Oval.

The first half was an even contest with teams having periods of ascendancy, with the defending Champions, Upper Great Southern taking a five point lead into half time.

Zac Trigwell kicked the winning goal in game one.

In the second half the South West dominated by couldn’t find the major opening, but a mark and goal by Zac Trigwell with 80 seconds left on the clock, saw the SWFL victorious by five points, putting the South West in a good position for the rest of the Championship.

Sam Lewis played a great game for the South West, as did Shaun Crane, while Trigwell kicked two of the SWFL four goals.
