South West Too Good For Peel

The Nexus SWFL team were wasteful in front of goals, but were still way too good for the Peel Football League, in Game four of the Nutrien Ag Country Championships, at Fremantle Oval on Friday afternoon.

The South West set up the victory in the first half kicking 4.7.31, while keeping Peel goal-less.  In the second half Peel shared more possession with both teams kicking two goals with the SWFL 29 point winners.

The six goals came from six different goal kickers, which would be pleasing for coach Chris Kinninmont.

Mitchell Tenardi was amongst the South West’s best, along with Sam Lewis who continued his good form from game one.

A key match on Day two will be when South West play Avon who looked strong in their opening match, and the SWFL will play at their best to beat them.  Day two matches will be played at Mineral Resources Park (Lathlain Park).
