The Nexus SWFL League team, have romped to victory in their third match of the Nutrien Ag Country Championships, with a fifty point victory over Avon. The SWFL displayed some of the best football seen at the Championship to date, with a stunning first half.
After conceding the first goal, it stung the Nexus SWFL into action, kicking seven unanswered goals to the half time break.
The way the SWFL scored them was pleasing with Lewis and Farrant kicking two great roving goals, while Greg Humphries tackle inside fifty directly resulted in the fifth goal to Zac Trigwell.
Tyson Wood would take a strong mark at the top of the goal square to kick the SWFL sixth goal, and replicated it a minute later when he kicked the seventh goal, the highest half time score to date.
Conversely it took SWFL 13 minutes to kick their first goal in the second half when Patrick Farrant appeared to take a great pack mark, but seconds later was paid a high tackle and duly converted. Greg Humphries again provided a great tackle setting up Dylan Heasman who snapped truly from the pocket.
The icing was put on the cake when Ben Horsman kicked the final goal from outside 50m to result in the fifty point margin.
The SWFL are the only undefeated team in Division 1 and have one match left to play at 12.45pm against Goldfields. The Nexus League team are now confirmed as one of the two finalists in tomorrows Grand Final at the WACA.
