Thrilling Finish In All Grades

The SWFL has four competitions, and all four have live matches in round 18, making for a thrilling finale to the season.

We have put all of the scenarios together, to try and predict where all the finalists will finish.

LEAGUE
Four of the five League games have ramifications on the final line-up of the top five.  The first pieces will be known on Saturday.  If Harvey Brunswick Leschenault defeat Donnybrook they will finish third.  Should they suffer a shock loss, Busselton will move to third if they beat Collie, meaning South Bunbury will finish fifth.  South Bunbury can finish fourth if they beat Bunbury and Collie beat Busselton.  But where will Augusta Margaret River finish?   The Hawks play Carey Park in a game they should win, but Carey Park have the wood over them in the past, so it is not a given that the Hawks will win.  If the Hawks lose to Carey Park they can still finish top, if South Bunbury beat Bunbury, with a two goal swing either way enough to tip the charts.  If both win, the same scenario will play out, with the Hawks match finishing approx one hour before the end of the Bunbury v South Bunbury fixture.  At the bottom of the table, should Eaton Boomers defeat Harvey Bulls, they can hand the wooden spoon back to Donnybrook, should the Dons not beat the Lions.

So where will the finals be played in week one?  All five venues are still at play!

COLTS

Busselton will finish on top if they beat Collie and get the week off in the first weekend of the finals.  The key match is Carey Park versus Augusta Margaret River, with the result also affecting Bunbury who play South Bunbury. If Carey Park narrowly defeat the Hawks, Bunbury could leap-frog Carey Park if they defeat South Bunbury by approx 10 goals.  If the Hawks and Bunbury were to win, Carey Park will drop to fourth, with the only certainty being that Harvey Brunswick Leschenault will finish fifth unless Donnybrook beat them by 150 points.
