South Bunbury got a much wanted percentage boost when they easily accounted for the Harvey Bulls at Hands Oval on Saturday, in the opening game of round eighteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.
On a day where the Bureau of Meterology got it horribly wrong, the majority of the match was played in dry conditions opposed to the 20mm of rain that was predicted. With less than 2mm falling, South Bunbury scored freely, defeating the Bulls by 127 points.

The Tigers started the day with a percentage of 180.87, fifteen percent behind ladder leaders Busselton. By match end, the Tigers percentage jumped to 198.24, surpassing Busselton’s, who will play Collie on Sunday.
The victory gives more life to a fascinating top five, with South Bunbury now a real chance of finishing on top of the ladder.
After an early goal to Ethan Nordahl, the match went from end to end for the next eleven minutes, before the Tigers found their rythym and finished the quarter strongly with goals to Jye Clark, Jasper Hall and Shaun Crane.
Leading by twenty eight points at quarter time, the Tigers kicked seven goals in the second term, and it would be fourteen minutes into the quarter before the Bulls kicked a goal via Aaron Jovanovic, who received a free kick for a high tackle. Blaine Johnson would kick three goals for the term, and six for the match, as the margin extended to sixty nine points at half time.
After half time, with light drizzle falling the goals continued to flow, with Brayden Irvine providing one of the few highlights for the Bulls, taking a very good one on one mark on the members wing.
The final quarter provided a further four goals for the Tigers, who will now play Bunbury next Sunday in a massive Bunbury derby, while the Bulls will be at home playing Eaton.
