South Bunbury have defeated Bunbury in the Get Careers Colts First Semi Final at VC Mitchell Park, with a 47 point victory.
After a close opening quarter which saw Bunbury lead by five points, and endured five lead changes, it would be all the Tigers after this point, kicking eleven goals to two.
Xavier Notte was a clear standout for the Tigers booting seven goals, the only player on the ground to kick more than one. Notte kicked one in the first, two in the second, three in the third and he kicked the final goal of the match, in a brilliant individual performance.
The Tigers systematically stopped any momentum the Bulldogs tried to muster, with South Bunbury handling the ball more efficiently in somewhat tricky conditions, as a result of some light showers and hand breeze.
South Bunbury will advance to the Preliminary Final stage, and will play the loser of the Second Semi Final, being either Augusta Margaret River or Harvey Brunswick Leschenault. Bunbury finish officially fourth after making last years Grand Final.
