Tigers Over Run Boomers

South Bunbury have staged a massive come from behind victory on Sunday afternoon at Glen Huon Reserve, in round eight of the South West Football League.

The Tigers were 38 points down at quarter time as the Boomers started brilliantly, keep the visitors scoreless, in a bizarre looking scoreline.

South Bunbury clawed their way back into the match, kicking four goals to one in the second quarter to trail by 13 points at half time.  The margin was narrowed further in a tight third quarter, with the Boomers leading by just seven points at the final change.

The Tigers finished all over the Boomers in the final term, kicking three unanswered goals, keeping Eaton to one behind to win by seven points.

Liam McKenna was able to snare two goals for South Bunbury in the low scoring affair, while Brandon Jetta kicked four goals for the home team.

The win keeps South Bunbury in the hunt, in what is still a congested League ladder, while Eaton drop to seventh.  The Boomers will travel to Harvey on Sunday to take on the Bulls, who are also coming off a narrow loss, in what will be a crucial contest.  South Bunbury will host Busselton, also on Sunday, with a win keeping the Red and Whites in touch with the top four.  A win to Busselton will add another team to the congested middle rungs of the ladder.
