Round three of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season, commences at Hands Memorial Oval on Saturday afternoon, with reigning premier South Bunbury hosting Augusta Margaret River.
The Tigers won their opening round match by a point over arch-rivals Carey Park, before having the by in round two, while the Hawks traveled to Collie in round one, where they defeated the Eagles, before losing to Busselton last Saturday evening.
Both sides also started slowing in their last outing, something both sides will be looking to address in Saturday afternoons encounter.
The Tigers won the last contest by 74 points, and have won the last three, but the Hawks are no strangers to beating the Tigers, having won six of their last ten matches, including the 2022 Grand Final.
Regardless of the scoreline, the Tigers never seem out of the contest, as was the case against Carey Park, where the Panthers led by five goals late in the first quarter, but were slowly but surely pegged back. The Hawks will be aware of this, and with a strong defensive line it will be intruiging to see how this game pans out.
The League match is scheduled to commence at 2.10pm.
