Tigers Too Good For Sharks

South Bunbury overcame another slow start to easily defeat Dunsborough at the Dunsborough Playing Fields, in round four of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League premiership season.

In front of a healthy crowd the Sharks started brilliantly, kicking the first two goals within the opening six minutes, but that would only start a remarkable run of goals from the Tigers.

South Bunbury kicked the final five goals of the term to lead by eighteen points at quarter time, but it would be the second quarter which would end the match for the Sharks, who conceded seven goals while managing one behind.  Trailing by 52 points at half time, the Tigers would kick the first three goals of the third term, to make it fifteen consecutive goals before the Sharks kicked to belated goals to have the margin at 67 points at three quarter time.

The Tigers kicked six goals to three in the final term to win by 86 points.   Blaine Johnson had an outstanding game, kicking eight goals, while Tigers Captain Kevin Chitty also played a great game, as the Tigers played their most complete game of the season.
