Tigers Too Strong For Bulls

South Bunbury dominated their round nine, Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League match against Harvey, winning by 131 points at Harvey Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The opening quarter would be a close contest with South Bunbury leading by ten points, with Noah Taylor kicking a good goal for the Bulls.

Sadly that would be the final score for the Bulls, who would be restricted to their quarter time score, and in the process kick their lowest ever score against South Bunbury which was 1.5.11, only record last August in their last outing.

After quarter time, the Tigers dominated the lop-sided contest, and if not for some attrocious kicking for goals, the margin could have been significantly greater.

Tyson Lane continued his strong season, kicking five goals for the match and now has nineteen for the season, kicked in the last four weeks.   Seventeen year old Toby McGee played another good game, as did Ben McGuire and Jace Cormack.  Cooper Sparks tried hard all day for the Bulls, but the Tigers were too good.

South Bunbury will now play Bunbury next Sunday in the Dale Alcock Homes South West, WA Day Derby, which doubles as the Syd Jackson/Max Maguire Cup, while Harvey Bulls will travel to Glen Huon to take on Eaton, also on Sunday.
