Who Will Bow Out On Sunday?

For Bunbury or Harvey Bulls, Sunday is the end of the road for 2022 when both teams do battle at PC Payne Park in the First Semi Final with the winner advancing to the Preliminary Final.

The Bulls are coming off a stirring victory over Busselton at Sir Stewart Bovell Park on Saturday, while Bunbury are coming off a loss to South Bunbury on Sunday, but showed they are more that capable of upsetting the top teams, having led for the majority of the Qualifying Final.

The two teams have played twice this season, with Bunbury winning the first contest of Harvey Oval by 26 points, but since that match on 24 April 2022, the Bulls have certainly bolstered their forward power with Brad Holmes, Tyson Powell and Michael Bennell being a formidable trio.  The second contest saw Harvey Bulls lead for the majority of the match before a late goal gave Bunbury a five point win in a low scoring affair.

History maybe on the side of the Bulls, as they play their fourth first semi final.  The have never lost a first semi final since joining the competition, while Bunbury have played in twelve first semi finals, and have won five.
