Women’s Gather Round A Success

The Women’s gather round held at the Collie Recreation Ground on Saturday was a huge success, with more the 400 people turning up to watch the four matches.

The attendance was bigger than some other matches held this season, despite the inclement weather which dominate the first two matches of the day.

The atmosphere around the ground was great, with players from opposing teams providing guards of honour for the next match of the day in a great act of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

The Women’s only round fits perfectly into the fixture, enabling a top five finals series at the end of the season, with all ten teams in 2024 to be accommodated into the fixture.

Bunbury and Harvey Bulls players mingle together and create a guard of honour as Eaton Boomers run onto the field.

Cars parked all the way around the Collie Recreation Ground during the day.
