Young Tigers Looking To Upset Bulldogs

South Bunbury Women will play Bunbury on Sunday afternoon at Hands Oval, with the Tigers looking for back to back wins after upsetting Donnybrook last Saturday at VC Mitchell Park.

The Tigers defeated the Dons by nine points with Zoe Linton kicking two goals, with Megan Bain, Kaitlin Eades and Kiarni Stevens playing good games.  Stevens played well particularly, crunched in a big tackle before getting back to defend grimly as the Dons rallied in the last quarter.

Bunbury are coming off the bye, last defeating Donnybrook by 22 points.  Daisy Rigby kicked three goals in that match along with playing an excellent match, along with Raphaella Waltman, Sarina Tassone and Melinda Bobby all in good form.

The Bulldogs are third on the Optus Women’s ladder, while the Tigers sit eighth, but the Tigers certainly are playing better than their ladder position suggests.

The match will commence at 1.30pm on Sunday.
