Bakers Dozen For Kohlmann

Leigh Kohlmann completed what was a big weekend for key forwards, when the South Bunbury full forward, kicked thirteen goals for the Tigers in their 98 point win over the Collie Eagles at Hands Oval.

The Tigers set the scene for their victory early, keeping the Collie Eagles scoreless in the first quarter.  It would be 15 minutes into the second quarter before the Eagles kicked their opening goal, while Leigh Kohlmann already had six goals to his name.

Kohlmann terrorised the Eagles defence, single handedly winning contest after contest.

The margin could have been much worse for the Eagles, with the Tigers wasteful in front of goals, particularly in the first half.

Collie’s highlight was when the Eagles kicked two goals within a minute in the third quarter, but the match was already beyond doubt.   Kohlmann’s thirteenth goal was from deep in the pocket and never looked like missing.  The star forward has now kicked 53 goals for the season and along with Kade Wallrodt and Tom Gorter played well for the Tigers.   Collie’s captain, Talan Michael was the Eagles best player along Adam Bignell and Matt Blackford who also played well.
