Busselton have defeated Augusta Margaret River in the SWFL Elimination Final at Boyanup Oval, winning by 13 points on Saturday morning.
The Hawks were accurate in front of goals, maximising their opportunities, while the Magpies were peppering the goals and were very inaccurate as a result.
The Hawks led by three points at quarter time, and opened a handy gap of 14 points at half time after kicking with a three goal breeze to the
highway end.
Busselton would have eleven scoring shots in the third term, but converted only two, but in the process they kept the Hawks scoreless to take a narrow seven point lead into the final quarter. The highlight of the quarter was a spectacular mark to Kiedis Solberg.
The final quarter was a tight affair for the first ten minutes, but when Fletcher Robbins goaled at the seventeen minute mark of the quarter, the result was beyond doubt.
Busselton, who had to defeat Dunsborough last Sunday just to make the finals, will now play either Bunbury or Harvey Brunswick Leschenault in the First Semi Final (Date and Venue TBA), while the Hawks bow out, officially finishing fifth.
