End Of The Road For Tigers Or Dons Reserves

Sunday will be the final game of the season for either South Bunbury or Donnybrook in the Solahart Reserves competition, when the two sides play at Hands Memorial Oval in the Elimination Final.

South Bunbury finished the home and away season with twelve wins, while the Dons finished with eleven, to find themselves finishing fourth and fifth respectively on the ladder.

The Tigers are coming off a twenty four point loss to Bunbury in round twenty one, while the Dons had the bye, losing to ladder leaders Harvey Brunswick Leschenault by twenty eight point in round twenty.

The two sides last met in July with the Tigers victorious by twenty points, with the Tigers having won six of the last ten contests including the two this season, winning the round three contest by three points.

In seventy years, the two sides have met just six times in finals with both sides having won three each, with their last meeting in the 1991 Grand Final which South Bunbury won by thirteen points.

Both sides have former league players in thier line-ups, in what should be a highly skilled battle for supremacy to week two of the finals.

The winner will advance to a first semi final meeting with either Carey Park or Bunbury, while the loser officially finishes the season in fifth place.
