Lions Looking To Consolidate

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault will be looking to consolidate their position on the ladder, when they host Dunsborough on Saturday afternoon at Brunswick Oval, in round twelve of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership Season.

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault sit third on the ladder after a dour win over Augusta Margaret River last Saturday afternoon, while Dunsborough are looking for a better performance after being trounced by Carey Park at Kelly Park.

The Sharks have been injury prone in 2024, making it hard for Dunsborough to put their best team on the park, but the Lions will be looking to take advantage of this with back to back wins at home.  The Lions are four points behind second placed Bunbury and four points ahead of three teams including Donnybrook and Carey Park who play this weekend.  A slip up against Dunsborough could see them drop to fifth.

Last weekend in perfect conditions, both defences were on top, in a low scoring affair, which is potentially where Dunsborough can remain close to the Lions.

The Sharks are yet to beat Harvey Brunswick Leschenault in the three matches the two teams have played with the last meeting earlier this year resulting in a five goal win to the Lions.

The League match starts at 2.40pm after a ceremony to celebrate Indigenous Round, supported by Alcoa.
