The Peter Betti Cup returns to the Bulldogs after Bunbury were way too good in their clash with Donnybrook, in the final game of round six of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.
The final margin may have only been thirty points, but the contest was well and truly over before then, with Bunbury dominating the opening three quarters, before a big crowd on a perfect day for football.

The opening term saw Bunbury keep the Dons to a solitary behind, with Jett Woods continuing his good form kicking the opening goal. Jack Gouge was stream through half forward taking two bounces on his way to kicking a great goal to extend Bunbury’s advantage. Woods took a strong mark to kick his second, and when Fraser Gilchrist intercepted a ball across half back, the Dons found themselves 27 points behind at quarter time.
Bunbury were winning possessions all over the groud, with the Dons field kicking letting them down, with Bunbury kicking the first three goals of the second term, leading by a game high 47 points. Sam Perkusich kicked the Dons first goal at the 24 minute mark of the second term, with Todd Gregory taking a mark with one second left on the clock to give the Dons their second after the half time siren.
The Dons replicated their opening term in the third, kicking just one behind for the quarter, while Bunbury kicked a further two majors, with Dylan Heasman kicking a simple goal on the goal line to give the Bulldogs and eight goal lead.
Donnybrook played their best football in the last term, but the five goals to one quarter didn’t reflect the dominance Bunbury had on the match. Brenton Hilton played well for Bunbury as did Aidan Clarke and Mackenna Taylor, while Cody Leggett was amongst the Dons best.
Bunbury have the bye in round seven before an away clash to Augusta Margaret River in round eight, while the Dons will host Eaton on Saturday.
