Reserves Derby In Busselton Saturday

Carey Park and Bunbury will play in the Solahart Reserves Qualifying Final on Saturday at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, in what promises to be a great match, with the two sides having both won five or their last ten matches against one another.

Their most recent encounter was in June when Carey Park prevailed by fourteen points in a low scoring affair, where the two sides combined to kick just ten goals.  But with fine weather forecast, both sides are sure to showcase their forwards, with both having forward lines capable of kicking big scores.

Joel Houghton booted five goals last Sunday in the Bulldogs win over South Bunbury, while the competitions leading goal kicker Jordan Wallam will be at the other end, having kicked 57 goals in 15 games for the Panthers.

The two sides are no strangers to meeting each other in finals, meeting twice in last years finals series, with Carey Park winning the Preliminary Final by four points.   In total the two sides have met in nineteen finals with Carey Park have won eleven.

The winner will advance to a second semi final showdown with Harvey Brunswick Leschenault, while the loser will play either South Bunbury or Donnybrook in the first semi final.
