Round ten of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season, starts with a big match at Brunswick Oval, with seventh placed Harvey Brunswick Leschenault hosting sixth placed Carey Park.
Both sides sit outside the top five, with the Lions defeating fifth placed Donnybrook last Saturday, while Carey Park were the latest victim to Busselton who won at Kelly Park.
The match is crucial for both sides, but more so for the Lions, as a loss would see them fall two games behind Carey Park in the race for the top five and a possibility of falling down the ladder further. A win to the Panthers would see them also go into fifth place with Donnybrook having the bye, giving both sides plenty of incentive to win on Saturday afternoon.
Despite the forecast of a wet weekend, apart from being windy, the wet weather shouldn’t reach Brunswick Oval before the conclusion of the League match, so it will be how both sides handle the wind which could be a contributing factor to the outcome.
The League match is scheduled to start at 2.10pm.
