Hickman Cup To Donnybrook

Donnybrook have won the Hickman Cup at VC Mitchell Park on Sunday afternoon, defeating Harvey Bulls by 58 points, in the final game of round seven of the SWFL.

The Bulls were up against it from the very beginning, as the Dons continually went forward with the ball, kicking five goals in the opening quarter.

In the second it was much of the same, as Sam Bevan for the second week in a row was a focal point up forward, kicking four goals.  At half time the margin was 44 points and the match looked over.

To the Bulls credit, they came out firing at the start of the third quarter, kicking the first three goals, and narrowed the margin to 25 points, but the final quarter was all Donnybrook, who kicked six goals to one.

Harvey Bulls had won the last two Hickman Cup matches, but were no match for the Dons, who now extend their lead to 4-2 from the six matches played.
